The Fever
I sit bold blank in my dark hole
I was told to be sold in this cold
In my shadows I was taken to be mistaken
All the thoughts and beliefs were shaken
Tragedy was like melody sung day and night
Jumping off roof tops with god I had a fight
My bite into life was short lived affair
The wind blew and my soul tore without repair
Thumping heart had many a desire
All the dreams just caught fire
Dipping in the reflection of my affection
A far cry into the world of dejection
I may see or hear why others are scared
All lost and forgotten everything that I cared
The whip hit me the lashes tore through me
It rippled the river and changed who I could never be
The snake hissed putting in me his fangs
There was no trial to come before me the body hangs
The world is a round circle and everything repeats itself
I have stumbled and got up this time without your help
It’s a circus with painted faces and hollow claims
You need the master to tame as he calls out all the names
The conclusion is utter confusion lived in seclusion
The better life is life forgotten with no less intrusion.
