charcoal dreams
Seemingly lesser known spaces blurred faces,
I call upon your name shout it out loud and clear,
Butterfly crushed under the weight of the rose,
Blood dripping out the fingers are all soaked,
Peeping through windows looking at blank walls,
Reaching to jump and fly to my humble abode,
The chains that bind me are finally broken,
I have stabbed and killed the grip of my heart,
An innocent smile gone is replaced by its frame,
The charred up pieces fill up as dust on the ground,
One step at a time going forward never look back,
Though a blink might cause me to ponder what was lost,
It has been replaced by the soft laughter of my peer,
The car pushes in gear the speed thrills,
I am in control of my destiny and how it unfolds,
Your memories shall remain a chapter in my life story,
For now I am lost in my own thoughts and queries,
The liquor is streaming down my veins and I sing my pain,
Tomorrow will be fresh and new to start over once again.
