Ripples in water

Can’t believe my eyes oh my what a surprise she smiled and sighed putting her head on my shoulders to my delight,
We were broken we were tired we were dried up leaves in a bad weather,
The attraction was sudden fatal and a burden for each looked in other a mirror their own to suffer,
He held her hand so tight and finally they had respite the emotional turmoil was gone there was no fear no fight,
They sat under the sunset they watched the glowing moon hands held together feet dipped into the ocean,
He thought of her as a fairy treated her very dreary she was his love his life without her he could not survive,
He did whatever she said hid all his feelings under the bed did never complain or wet the tears that he so wanted to shed,
She was there forever to be like stars shining in the golden sea the breeze coming off the ocean the one that soothes the beach,
He was there for her and for him she cared she thought of him to be her friend the support she needed to breathe,
He was there when she wanted to be free he was there when she wanted to fly he was there even when she said goodbye,
For the emotions that had been forgotten rose up like a storm in the ocean,
He could not understand her tears he wanted to have more share,
But what she thought of him was not same she did not want any part of the game,
She felt guilty and bad she was ignorant and had made him sad,
The emotions filled her too made her hate herself too much to be true,
He said he would wait like the blinded sparrow on a window waiting for his wings to heal not knowing he would fall with one wrong step forward,
She tried and tried all night she had cried for him to see her picture to climb down and stay on the ground but listening to her he just frowned,
Now the bridge is lonely the trees shed leaves alone for they are not visited or plucked when standing by the moon,
Remembering old times he wanted to see her one last time to ask again ‘could you be forever mine?’
She stood there smiling and glared maybe he was here to give her the friendship and say bye to her despair,
But like the ocean fights the current and the rocks cut the sea,
His words clashed hers and nothing was heard or seen,
He put the knife into her heart poked it in and twisted mocking her life and spitting on her head,
He laughed and laughed in spite for he had taken his time and he could now never be fine,
She did not try to fight back in peace she surrendered nothing she thought was his affection but her own defection,
It was a fate she brought upon herself,
She could not blame the other for a mistake she had done,
Trusting her life with a person who could not see beyond his mirror, who deflected life in his small eyes and saw the world as his own reflection,
The spitting words hit her like knife it pierced her inside out,
Now sitting by the sunset she rest for the time spent is gone forever,
Even when the revengeful gaze makes her almost to hate all the things done and said,
She gazes at the ocean and thinks for it all to be god’s gift to see life from the eyes of the beggar, who is a pauper at heart and weighs like a feather,
She smiled again and she smiled for the time had come to start a new day,
The sun was up and she was not alone for her love had come to comfort her bed,
She shared with him her loss and despair how her friend had turned into a foe,
He took her hand and kissed it softly squeezing he said ‘don’t worry I am always there’,
She rested her head and gazed into the sky she prayed to god to give her friend some sight,
Now the days will start like they always do and the seasons will come and go,
He will never be forgotten for she had always thought of him as a friend forever,
But life goes on for its never still and people move on, no matter what happens they live,
All these problems are just some droplets of one time which is washed by the morning rain or carried away by the evening breeze,
And I have come to the end of the story; he can stay and shine in all his glory,
I am happy and content for I have done and said always what I meant.
