song of a sparrow

The sparrow is singing its song,
The sun is shining bright and the world is in a trance,
The heavy wet odour of the fresh morning rain,
The leaves come out to play rustling as they fall below,
The earth gives a warm welcome hugging everything around,
The sparrow looks around but love is nowhere to be found,
A hunter enters the forest and so the footsteps are heard,
The birds and animals disperse afraid to be caught and bled,
The arrow comes out of the bow, it hit the sparrow in surprise,
Straight through the heart it bled,
Falling hard it echoed a hollow breath nearing the end he got,
The light was leaving his eyes and others could hear his cries,
His neck was grabbed and knocked he lay motionless and dead,
The man left with his prey as animals sighed some relief,
They talked of his doomed fate and what now his beloved would take,
She came flying fast the news had come to cast,
The despair was dark and deep, it banged her heart with pain,
She fell like an evening flower wringled up in mud,
Everyone was not amazed for they knew what she had to take,
A silence prevailed the beauty and blissful sunny gaze,
Whats' left was a dreadful mum with dark and misty haze.
