Changing times

Time flies and I still remember the days of the early morning laughter
Gazing star as if we own the world picking up the broken pieces of puffs
Passing on whatever was to be shared pushing in harder times
Sticking together we both agreed on being there in times to come
Yet in the wake of tomorrow you seem lost and I seem lost
Shadowed by the misery of the past and forgotten in the present
I still look for you maybe the mask is taken off maybe you haven’t forgotten
What I see is not what I had the friend taken over as stranger to be
But it’s not a moment it’s not a thought it’s a journey I have to take
Find you to the end of universe until I have also found myself
In my complexity of finding the meaning of life I need you to carry on
There will be times ahead to look upon gaze on the moon and make new promises
Saying cheers together with tears of joy in my eyes and madness in air
As the evening extend I bend forward to thank you my dear friend
Shaking our legs and heads singing upon our favorite song
That just the way we are, together even though far apart.
