Heartbroken

It's a dull pain, an arrow has been struck again,
There is a will to die, to be forgotten in ashes,
The tears lift up the eyes, marking losses down my cheeks,
It was cold and sudden, like a nail pushing my feet,
I couldn't move I couldn't stand, I didn't run away,
My baby burnt right through my heart, the matchstick in her words,
The emptiness has a deep silence, echo of voices far away,
I am stuck in darkness, my body shivers in cold despair,
It's a numb feeling, like the limbs have been cut off and left to bled,
Now I see the shadow, but it is not standing with me,
The love has not my colour, my name has been erased,
A sullen odour near the ocean, my rotten heart waits there...
